Burdisso scare after head injury (19 Oct 2007 00:22 GMT)
Inter defender Nicolas Burdisso was involved in a clash of heads with Juan Arango during Argentina's World Cup qualifier with Venezuela and did not move after falling to the ground.
Medics rushed to his aid and he was eventually stretchered off bleeding and unconscious. He was immediately taken to hospital where fortunately nothing serious was deemed to have taken place.
Burdisso had five stitches applied to a head wound and it is believed he suffered mild cerebral concussion.
The 26-year-old will return to Italy today where further tests will be carried out before he is given the green-light to feature in this weekend?s Serie A clash with Reggina.
