West Ham United's Argentinian forward Carlos Teves took a step towards becoming a Real Madrid player after his agent Kia Joorabchian held talks with Pedja Mijatovic, Real's director of sport.
The Spanish champions are in competition with Inter Milan for Tevez' signature, but the Bernabeu is believed to be his preferred destination.
