Argentina call-ups for game against France (25 Jan 2007 01:49 GMT)
Real Madrid youngster Fernando Gago and veteran Internazionale defender Javier Zanetti are among 21 players that Argentina national team manager Alfio Basile has called up for next month's international friendly against France.
For midfielder Gago, who recently joined Real from Boca Juniors, the call-up for the game in Paris on February 7 is the 20-year-old's first for his country, while Zanetti returns to the national side after missing out on the 2006 FIFA World Cup.
There were also surprise call-ups for Mallorca midfielder Jonas Gutierrez and Porto forward Lisandro Lopez in the squad named by Basile.
Basile did not include any players from Argentine clubs as the domestic league is scheduled to begin at the same time as the match against France.
