Coloccini "staying at Depor" (14 Jan 2007 08:40 GMT)
Fabricio Coloccini has insisted he is happy at Deportivo, although many clubs have inquired about his availability, while club coach Joaquin Caparros agrees he is going nowhere.
Media reports have linked Tottenham Hotspur and Mallorca with a move for Coloccini after he was dropped for Depor's last three matches.
"I am happy at Deportivo and I want to stay here," said the defender (24) "I never said I wanted to leave Deportivo. I am not going to change teams right now. After some time has gone by I will analyse my situation."
Caparros claims that his player will not leave the Riazor.
"He is not going to Mallorca," he told La Voz de Galicia. "This is a technical decision."
Coloccini's reaction was one of support for his coach. "If that is what the club say, that is the way it is," he added. "I understand that some people may have been surprised when I wasn't included in the team by the coach, but he is the one who takes each decision and we have to respect them. I don't have any problem with the coach."
