Copa America draw set for 14. February (6 Jan 2007 13:09 GMT)
The draw for the Copa America will take place on Feb. 14.
Teams will be divided for the first round into three groups, headed by Argentina, Brazil and Venezuela.
Venezuela will host its first Copa America from June 26-July 15.
Venezuela has promised that construction on all nine stadiums will be finished by April 1. Organizers expect nearly 500,000 visitors for the tournament.
The twelve confirmed teams for the tournament are South American powerhouses Brazil and Argentina, along with other continental teams Peru, Uruguay, Paraguay, Chile, Colombia, Bolivia, Ecuador and hosts Venezuela.
The two invited nations to the competition are Mexico and the United States. The USA has not participated in the Copa America since 1995 due to the summer league schedule of Major League Soccer, but the U.S. Soccer Federation accepted this year's invite and will take players from the league during the competition.
