Kily: I turned down big Italian club for Rosario Central (22 Oct 2006 15:36 GMT)
Kily Gonzalez has revealed he turned down an offer to stay in Italy to return to Argentina and sign for Rosario Central in the summer.
"I know there was a major team in the Italian championship that wanted me," the veteran winger said. "But I already had decided I wanted to return home."
On his replacement at Inter Milan, fellow Argie Mariano Gonzalez, Kily added: "Mariano is a phenomenon on and off the pitch. And a boy who has incredible qualities and, inasmuch as I know, he's happy that he joined Inter and I expect him to do well."
