Collocini tipped for Argentina move (27 Dec 2005 08:24 GMT)
Deportivo La Coruna defender Fabricio Coloccini is said to be close to returning to Argentina, according to reports in South America.
The former Villarreal and AC Milan centre-back is looking to force his way into the Argentinian World Cup squad that will travel to Germany next summer as one of the tournament favourites.
The 23-year-old, who has played only nine league games for the La Liga outfit this season, is claimed to be considering moves to either Boca Juniors, River Plate or San Lorenzo.
Coloccini is reported to favour Boca Juniors after having brief stint at the Buenos Aires giants as a youngster and a regular place likely.
Boca are almost certain to be on the lookout for a new centre-back, with current defender Rolando Schiavi on the verge of signing for Spanish second division club Hercules.
So it looks likes recent news about talks with Liverpool was only rumours.
