Veron confirms Inter exit (2 Jun 2006 06:32 GMT)
Inter midfielder Juan Sebastian Veron has confirmed that he will return to his native Argentina this summer.
It was generally expected that the former Manchester United playmaker would return home after confirming that was his intention, but he took so long over making an official announcement that many believed he was having second thoughts.
But he said: ?I?ve made my decision. I?m sorry for Inter but I?ve been globetrotting for 10 years," Veron said. "I?m leaving friends, teammates who I have shared joy and pain with during my playing days in Europe."
"I will now earn just 10 per cent of what I do here in Italy, but my family is the most important thing for me,? Veron added.
