Saviola to leave Sevilla (1 Jun 2006 22:57 GMT)
Argentine forward Javier Saviola, who arrived from FC Barcelona last August, will reject an offer to extend his stay in Sevilla.
"They have arranged to make a proposal before midnight next Friday but I'll say now that Saviola won't continue with Sevilla," Cabrera Brizuela ( Saviola's agent) said.
Cabrera Brizuela said he has already been advised by Sevilla's general manager, Ramon "Monchi" Rodriguez, that Sevilla's offer would not meet the player's demands.
"He told me that we would regard the proposal as a lack of respect for Javier... I can say that regrettably Saviola won't stay on despite his wish to do so," the agent added.
Cabrera Brizuela said Tuesday he would meet Barcelona technical secretary Aitor "Txiki" Begiristain to find out if the club intends use him as a bargaining tool in any new signings.
"We have offers but I want to speak to Txiki, because perhaps some of them could be interesting or useful for Barcelona as an exchange," Cabrera Brizuela told radio station Onda Cero.
Recent media speculation has suggested Saviola could join Villarreal with Uruguay striker Diego Forlan signing for Barcelona.
