Aimar diagnosis: meningitis (14 Apr 2006 17:02 GMT)
Valencia CF playmaker Pablo Aimar is being treated in hospital for acute meningitis, having been taken ill yesterday with a high temperature and severe headaches. The 26-year-old Argentinian international underwent immediate tests which confirmed the diagnosis.
"At the moment the patient is stable but he will remain in the ward until we finish the treatment," said doctor José Tatai Ramírez. "His recovery will be gradual and we will wait to see his improvement over the next few days before setting a date for his discharge."
