Corinthians deny Tevez talk (17 Mar 2006 00:00 GMT)
Brazilian outfit Corinthians have denied reports that Argentine star Carlos Tevez could be set for a move to Chelsea.
Reports on Wednesday claimed that Jose Mourinho had identified the gifted 22-year-old as a potential summer recruit as he looks to increase his attacking options.
The Brazilian champions have now again insisted that they have no plans to sell Tevez, to Jose Mourinho's side or any other, as Kia Joorabchian, president of the club's partner MSI, confirmed in a statement.
"[I] have no intention to discuss the player's transfer," read the statement. "MSI understands that Tevez is one of the best players in the world and considers the interest of other clubs normal."
Corinthians are desperate to keep hold of their attacking talisman for as long as possible but Internazionale have also been strongly linked with the star who could cost up to £60 million.
However, Chelsea are believed to have links with the MSI group and Stamford Bridge has long been held to be a likely destination for Tevez when he makes his impact on European football.
