Genoa president: I offered Milito to Inter Milan (16 Feb 2006 17:01 GMT)
Genoa president Enrico Preziosi insists he tried to keep striker Diego Milito in Italy by offering him to Inter Milan last summer.
The Argentine is starring in Spain with Real Zaragoza and Preziosi said: "There was no way we could hold onto him. We couldn't ask him to play in Serie C."
"I tried to offer him to Inter. But they refused our terms over a loan arrangement. So, instead we accepted Zaragoza's offer, which was by far the biggest we received."
